05 / GOOD TO KNOW

A few questions.
A clearer picture.

Some helpful starting points before we talk.

Who can Malindisa assist?+

We assist South African citizens and residents with visa applications for the destinations listed, as well as police clearance certificate applications and DIRCO apostille and authentication submissions. The requirements depend on your passport, residence status and intended use.

Can you guarantee a visa approval?+

Visa decisions are made by the relevant embassy or immigration authority. Our role is to help you understand the process and prepare your application. Approval and processing times remain with the deciding authority.

What is the difference between an apostille and authentication?+

The route depends on the document and the country where it will be used. An apostille is generally used between countries participating in the Apostille Convention. Other destinations may require authentication and additional embassy legalisation. We help clarify the submission route for your documents.

Will I need to attend an appointment myself?+

Some applications require you to attend biometrics, an interview or another appointment in person. This depends on the destination and application type. We help you understand the applicable steps.

How early should I start?+

Start planning as early as you can. Appointment availability, document preparation and authority processing times vary. Share your intended dates so that the relevant application window and next steps can be considered.

What should I have ready for a first enquiry?+

Your destination, nationality, country of residence, travel purpose and approximate dates are useful starting points. For document services, include the document type and the country in which it will be used. Please don’t send sensitive identity documents with an initial enquiry.
